Analyse the use of media language to create meaning to appeal to it’s audience in the online Observer  home page. Pick 2 examples [5]

Media language is used through the tabs at the top of the page. The first tab is news reflecting that its the most important aspect that the newspaper covers, it also echos its importance in focusing on male targeted sections rather than the least important section which is focused on women. The titles of the sections within the lifestyle tabs are all pink. This may indicate that the target audience for this section is women, using stereotypical colours for feminism to try and entice women to watch it.
